week 15

I have improved after this semester and reviewed HTML, CSS and JS. Me and my teammates built this website little by little and also learnt how to arrange time and make a plan. We did prototypes and target user analysis, created persona and layout. Teamwork is quite important during application creating period, and I have learnt how to communicate with others to Improve efficiency.




Furthermore, this course has changed my mindset. When I browse other websites, I use the website from a designer's point of view to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the website. This change will make me become more sensitive to web design, learn more good design methods and get inspiration.


I used about 2 weeks on portfolio and I visited some websites.I like the design of hilanoam.carbonmade.com , and I used some design methods in this website. I built this website by using HTML, CSS, JS. The layout of this website is clear and simple, and this make visitors focus on designer's work. 




I made a logo on www.logaster.cn and put that on this website. I also used twitter sharing and feedback function in this website. Flashing is a new part and I selected some pictures, some are screen shot I took during this semester and some are paintings or well-designed pictures(from www.designspiration.net).



I have also met some friends in this course and I think I will enroll another course about web design next semester.

I have learnt DECO7140 and want to acquire more knowledge about web design.In this semester,I would like to share my ideas and thoughts with peers and tutors. I noticed that many group tasks need to be finished from assessment tasks, which means we need focus on teamwork and learn how to solve problems during design process. I hope I can get along well with my teammates and have a broader view of web design!

week 10

I checked the feedback on week 9 and our group made some changes on our website. First, we changed the color of the website and resized the main picture. 1 Swiper 2.Add Google street view API When users check the old photos and old view, they can see what the place looks like now at the same time. So they can compare and find differences between past and present. 3.Add sharing function  Users can post the information of photos if they would like to share with their friends. I set the tag as 'OldPhoto' and 'Queensland', it's easier for users to search all tweets about our website. We have finished most of tasks right now and we will do more tests and make codes better.

I would like to use data of photos in different cities.  We can use this website call data by date, city name, or by other key words.   I just thought what kind of things we care in our daily life, and that may what people interested in.This way is easier for me to get more ideas and could be useful and user-friendly to visitors. 1.Data is not easy to get and may not that comprehensive, I need search on different websites and try to classify data into varieties of sorts.   2. I would like to google information about API and see how to use that.
