I have improved after this semester and reviewed HTML, CSS and JS. Me and my teammates built this website little by little and also learnt how to arrange time and make a plan. We did prototypes and target user analysis, created persona and layout. Teamwork is quite important during application creating period, and I have learnt how to communicate with others to Improve efficiency. Furthermore, this course has changed my mindset. When I browse other websites, I use the website from a designer's point of view to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the website. This change will make me become more sensitive to web design, learn more good design methods and get inspiration. I used about 2 weeks on portfolio and I visited some websites.I like the design of hilanoam.carbonmade.com , and I used some design methods in this website. week 13

I have done all coding work and tested all functions before this Tuesday. I just checked all code we submitted to the team zone and solved some bugs.  I put three paintings at the top of the page, and in search part,  map and photos can be showed together. That could improve whole webpage visual effect. In the report, I did the description about how the system works, all function and put the comments in the code and report. On the contact session this week, we drawn on the board and posted posters on it. Some classmates test our website and all of them like that and they all like the search part and feedback. Some of them wrote comments and asked how the feedback function works. I think my team did good job on Tuesday and we really like some products from other group. I like this course, it makes me feel curious all the semester and I have learnt a lot.

In this week , I added feedback function by using  formspree.io. Users can find feedback button in 'contact us' part and they just need enter name, email and write whatever they want to say about our website. All messages from users will be sent to my email-box  immediately as email. The picture below is the test email I tried. User Name: WEIHAN. User Email:1798162679@qq.com Comment:hi What's more, I changed main pictures on the website. Considering the background color is black and main pictures we used before are all black and white, that could make the whole layout boring. So our group chose 3 paintings from Australian artists.

week 11

This week I have finished code of twitter sharing function and street view(Google API) function. Our group asked tutor for suggestion on contact session and we will focus on distance calculation function and improve search bar.   Search function could be a little bit confusing because users may think when they put the address name in and they will see all pictures taken in this place before.Actually, the website will show all photos information which including the key words but not just the location. So we will tell users what they can put in search bar and what they will get. Next Sunday is due date and my work is finishing, so I think we can finish before that.

I checked the feedback on week 9 and our group made some changes on our website. First, we changed the color of the website and resized the main picture. 1 Swiper 2.Add Google street view API When users check the old photos and old view, they can see what the place looks like now at the same time. So they can compare and find differences between past and present. 3.Add sharing function  Users can post the information of photos if they would like to share with their friends. I set the tag as 'OldPhoto' and 'Queensland', it's easier for users to search all tweets about our website. We have finished most of tasks right now and we will do more tests and make codes better.

week 9

1.We did partB presentation  this week and we showed all we have done in these few weeks.  The main function of our website is searching and we have finished that already. We will focus on some optional functions in next few weeks and we made a plan for that. For part C, we will may do the street view function or distance calculation function by using google map API and some media functions.  When we finish all functions we will improve the layout and do user test again. 2.I checked the feedback from classmates and I found that we need focus on the layout, and change the background color as well. Our group discussed that and we think black is better for this website. 3. We do have some discussions about websites but we do more online but not meet face to face, because we found just chat online is quite a time saving way and convenient.

1. In our project, the minimum viable product is searching photos by clicking pins on google map, and showing information of photos to users, then sharing both old photo and user's new photo to social websites with tags. In our team , we always communicate with each other on WeChat and email. If we got challenge we will meet outside and talk about that face to face.We need list what we can do and what's hard to reach technologically, and consider if we will go ahead or not. Sometimes I gave up my idea if we all agreed other ideas are better after discussion. 2.In our team, I will do part of programing and coding tasks and try my best to coordinate members in our group to finish their own tasks. We have arranged tasks to members already and made the team plan. I am doing the beginning of program and will search how to use social websites API. For coding part ,we will do that in two parts.
